Foundations: Histories and Philosophies of Education

Limited to Education and Social Transformation majors. Introduction to central concepts underlaying the study of education in the U.S. In alignment with the major, focus on analyzing how education is studied, and assumption of the vital importance of education in promoting social transformation. Study focuses on the questions of the purpose of education for social transformation and of social transformation.
