Assessment and Management in Pediatric Primary Care I

First in two-course sequence for the acute care and primary care pediatric nurse practitioner student focusing on pathophysiology of specific disease processes, pharmacologic knowledge, clinical decision-making, and treatment modalities in managing primary health conditions in infants, children, adolescents, and their families. Integration of cultural sensitivity, child development, family support, ethical issues into select common pediatric conditions. Lectures and other learning activities demonstrate the application and evaluation of evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines in the pediatric population.
