Introduction to study of Philippine literature from pre-Hispanic to contemporary times. Readings of poetry, short stories, plays, novels, and historical survey to gain broad perspective of Philippine literature and understanding of literary development in Philippines. Study of effect of colonization on Filipino indigenous culture.
