Theorizing Arts Activism

Historicizing and theorizing of arts activism to provide context for concerted analysis, creation, and protest. Readings include theoretical texts and current performance histories. Consideration of one particular activist project, with focus on ongoing activism sponsored by UCLA Art and Global Health Center. Arts activist projects organized by seminar members supported and encouraged. Concurrently scheduled with course C158.
