Performance commonly refers to activities on proscenium stage. Explosion of that narrow notion of performance by delving into scholarship from young field of performance studies, which draws on disciplines of anthropology, cultural studies, gender studies, linguistics, postcolonial theory, and sociology. Exploration in studio of concept of performing theory by creating interdisciplinary performance works that engage with and amplify theories studied.
