Not open to students who have learned, from whatever source, enough Vietnamese to qualify for more advanced courses. Designed for Vietnamese-heritage learners who have some limited knowledge of Vietnamese or have had no formal instruction in Vietnamese. Emphasis on spelling, basic grammar, reading, writing, daily conversation, and polite forms.
