(Same as Public Policy M223.) How to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transportation. Critical analysis of policies to improve fuel economy, promote electric vehicles, and reduce vehicle travel. History and legal frameworks of environmental regulation. Analytical methods to quantify carbon emissions and estimate emission reductions. Focus on climate change, but consideration of other environmental consequences of transportation, from air pollution to stormwater runoff.
