Puppetry and Wearable Technology

Highly recommended requisite: course 119A. Hands-on exploration of the expressive potential of embedded and wearable technologies in live performance, using puppetry as a practice through which to examine how these technologies can engage with agency, presence, and interaction. Students build responsive systems that sense body and object and actuate through sound, light, and mechanics. Focus on the practice of critical making to support narrative intent and develop emotional resonance.
