Introduction to concepts, tools, and technologies used in working with databases. Prepares students for applied data science work. Topics include the basics of data engineering; relational and non-relational database paradigms; an introduction to SQL and NoSQL languages; cloud storage platforms; connections to R and Python. Concurrently scheduled with C167.
