Exploration of major literary movements and writers of 18th and 19th centuries in Spain and Spanish America. Possible topics include Enlightenment, Romanticism, nation-building literature, realism and naturalism, and works by Cadalso, Concolorcorvo, Lizardi, Larra, Sarmiento, Bécquer, Isaacs, Mera, Villaverde, and Galdós. May be repeated for credit with topic change.
