Exploration of literature of human health as product of society. Macro focus and micro focus used to examine relevance of macro organizational features of national society (culture, economy, politics) while maintaining awareness of micro pathways that link these wider influences to personal experience (mind, body, emotion). Main focus on modern industrial societies and organized around many leading issues in sociology of health.
