Intended for graduate students interested in pursuing analysis of key international social welfare issues. Topics approached from perspective of globalization of social, economic, and political activities. Problems of global poverty, social injustice and inequality, and issues of racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity, with emphasis on multifaceted contributions of social work, social services, and social welfare and international social development within rich and poor countries. Acquisition of knowledge of international social welfare activities, as well as analytical skills to address and debate complex international issues.
