Introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics and data analysis. Covers process for taking variation in the world and turning it into data. Development of tools and concepts for exploring variation in data, modeling variation, and, evaluating models. Students gain ability to understand and explain what the most basic statistical formulas are doing.
