Survey of major literary movements and schools following demise of neoclassicism: sentimental school, early and late Romanticism, and beginnings of natural school. Discussion of representative works of Baratynsky, Batyushkov, Gogol, Karamzin, Lermontov, Pushkin, and Zhukovsky.
