Designed for graduate students. Examination of neural basis of perceptual learning. Overview of literature on cortical plasticity and how it relates to different forms of perceptual learning in visual, auditory, and somatosensory modalities. Review of mechanisms of cortical plasticity, including basic features of long-term synaptic plasticity and computational models of cortical processing.
