Research Design Seminar for Honors Thesis
Political Science · 4 units · Undergraduate upper division (100-199)
Limited to students who plan to write an honors thesis, with 3.5 grade-point average in upper-division political science courses, eligibility for College Honors, and prior research experience. Production of a polished research prospectus. Students identify a live research question in the field of political science, write a critical literature review, identify a research gap, propose a preliminary argument that fills that gap, select suitable research methods, and determine appropriate sources of information. A maximum of 4 units may be applied toward major.
