American Political Development: Institutional Development

Designed for juniors/seniors. Examination of one American political institution and its development over time, or interaction of American politics and some aspect of culture and society. Assessment of broader political environment of politics, isolating points of contact, conflict, and pressure for change. Possible topics include party development, Constitution, business regulation, and politics and religion. Sections offered on regular basis, with topics announced in preceding term. May be repeated for credit with topic change.
