Designed to provide theoretical and practical understanding of treatment planning techniques utilized in radiation therapy. Topics include clinical treatment planning work flow, general planning principles and strategies, and specific considerations for various treatment delivery modalities and advanced treatment techniques. Detailed discussion on dose calculation algorithms and inversed planning and optimization. Clinical treatment planning demonstration using commercial treatment planning systems used to provide practical understanding of clinical applications and implementation.
