Offers basic knowledge in microbiology in periodontics. Includes microbiology aspects of periodontics such as Socransky models, viruses, aggressive periodontitis, and necrotizing periodontisis; and how those affect actual treatments. Supports all master's students ability to understand basic knowledge of periodontics in research and clinical sciences. Knowledge gained can be applied to research projects and improve critical thinking ability.
