Seminar, 90 minutes. Prepares students to serve as teaching assistants in School of Nursing. Students gain skills in role of nurse educator within university setting, including application of instructional strategies and evaluation methods that are consistent with expectations for student learning, creating inclusive teaching environment, and dealing with difficult situations. All new teaching assistants are required to take series of five Foundations of Teaching workshops by end of quarter in which this course is completed.
