Organizational and Systems Leadership for Quality Improvement

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students are prepared to navigate complex health-care environments by integrating leadership theory and quality improvement science. Examination of how the DNP-prepared nurse drives systemic change through evidence-informed leadership strategies, fosters safety cultures, and improves clinical outcomes. Students evaluate personal leadership styles, engage in strategic planning, and apply evidence-based frameworks to mitigate organizational threats. Study bridges gap between clinical expertise and systems leadership, providing tools necessary to lead clinical quality and safety initiatives to ensure sustainable practice improvements.
