First in three-course series. Focus on assessment and diagnosis of common episodic and chronic adult health (late adolescence through end of life) conditions in ambulatory and urgent-care settings. Students evaluate application of evidence-based interventions and clinical guidelines in diverse adult populations across the lifespan. Examples include analysis of health promotion, and maintenance and restorative approaches from developmental, cultural, gender, functional impairment, and life-stage perspectives.
