System-based healthcare where students focus on context of medical decision making, including team, hospital, culture, politics, economics, law, and personal bias. Topics include legal, political, and moral aspects of sexual assault and abortion; economics and cultural considerations involved in end of life decision making; and public and personal interpretation of what constitutes conflict of interest. Consideration of how medical decisions are influenced by context of care (system-based practice) and emotional responses and preferences (professionalism).
