Introduction to Nursing Research

Designed for nursing transfer students who have met the UCLA Writing II requirement. Study of the relationship between nursing theory and research. Introduction to the components of research process: specific aims and study purposes, variable definition, sample selection, data collection tools, data analyses, and ethical conduct. Emphasis on comprehension of research terminology and concepts of each step of the research process with activities that critique research reports, models, and data; and study impact to nursing practice.
