Limited to graduate composition students. One-on-one composition lessons, with assignments and compositions tailored to each student’s progress and level of achievement, addressing counterpoint, voice-leading, harmonic and melodic construction, orchestration, form, texture, style, notation, and performance feasibility of compositions worked on at advanced level. Presentation of at least one composition composed during course in graduate composition concert during academic year. May be repeated for credit without limitation.
