Nanoscale Microscopy Laboratory
Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics · 2 units · Undergraduate lower division (0-99)
Designed as one-week summer course for high school students. Exploratory introduction to three key microscopy techniques for nanoscience research: fluorescence microscopy, scanning probe microscopy, and electron microscopy. Nanoscience is umbrella term that encompasses one diverse interdisciplinary branch of modern science research, including molecular sciences, biotechnology, material science, chemistry, biochemistry, and various fields of engineering. Offered in summer only.
