MECH&AE C274
Digital Control and Learning of Physical Systems
Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering · 4 units · Graduate courses (200-299)
Topics include Z-transforms, digital control system analysis, discrete-time system modeling of continuous-time systems, model-based pole placement methods (root locus, state feedback, full-order state observer feedback), data-based adaptive learning methods (adaptive finite impulse response filters, least mean squares steepest decent learning, adaptive identification, feedforward, and disturbance rejection control), and digital control practice by simulation and real-time control experiment. Concurrently scheduled with course C171B.
Letter grading.
