Course 103A is enforced requisite to 103B, which is enforced requisite to 103C. Facilitates student development in mathematical and pedagogical understandings required to teach middle school mathematics curriculum. Exploration of California’s grades 6 through 8 mathematics from professional perspective, practice with effective teaching strategies for all learners, and discussion of current research and standards in mathematics education with fieldwork in local mathematics classrooms.
