Moving Image Media and Technologies

Introduction to principle types of media and methodologies used for moving image archival handling, conservation, preservation, and restoration. Special focus includes non-mainstream, non-Hollywood materials (small-gauge formats, independent and amateur productions, new media); changing role of technology in preservation and restoration; ethical changes of moving image restoration; and classical and contemporary models of working with audiovisual materials found in every collection.
