Study helps discern how (auto)biographical and fictional stories re-enact people’s life experiences in zones of cultural difference. Focus on narratives presenting ethnic conflict and assimilation in Caucasus region and eastern Anatolia, beginning in 1850s and ending with aftermath of Armenian genocide.
