Healthcare Disparities

Limited to graduate students. Exploration of what constitutes and explains disparity in healthcare. Emphasis on understanding history of disparities in U.S. to understand current state of disparities, and on evaluating effectiveness of ongoing strategies to eliminate them, such as increasing insurance coverage and delivery of culturally competent healthcare. Examination of sociological models that explain disparities in healthcare and evaluation and expansion on these models.
