Critical Global Health: Cases and Concepts

In-depth study of global health challenges and responses through consideration of how concrete cases—anthropological, clinical, historical, public health—help confront broad problems related to human suffering and wellbeing, and how social science concepts help dissect these problems in ways that open up new possibilities. Use of concrete, vivid case each week to help learners grasp useful critical concept. Drawing on history, social theory, political economy, ethnography, and journalism, studied cases illustrate origins, politics, and lived experiences of contemporary global health dilemmas.
