Located at center of American continent, Central America is central player in production of many important crops for world, and epicenter of massive migration waves. Exploration of Central America to understand way region has been defined by both European colonization and more modern interventions led by neocolonial relations with U.S. Consideration of role of racialization in producing specific racial/spatial dynamics in region. Fundamental exploration of how transnational migration has created expansive Central American diaspora that produces effects in isthmus and abroad.
