Gender, Disability, and Education

Drawing on critical theory, study engages intersections of disability as it is theorized, constructed, and lived as post/neocolonial condition. Study bridges disability scholarship between global North and South, as well as interdisciplinary fields of feminist disability studies—which assumes disability is always inextricably linked to other social markers, such as gender, race, sexuality, and social class—and indigenous studies—which studies complex and diverse cultures and histories, and their impacts on society. Study locates relationship to disability, gender, and education through decolonial lens and explores topics of phenomenology of lived body and relations to land.
