Designed to give film students insight into world of postproduction sound and to provide knowledge and tools necessary to complete postwork on their projects. Exploration of all areas of postproduction sound design from editing to final mixing. How to effectively use sound design to enhance storytelling capability of films, evaluate music choices, pick composer, music edit, create sound design to enhance story points, discover design opportunities, and select right sound effects. How to edit dialogue, prep for Automatic Dialogue Replacement and Foley sessions, and supervise final sound mix. Screening of numerous film clips to provide examples of postsound choices that demonstrate effective use of sound design.
