Examination of writing for sketch, talk, and other hybrid comedic television shows. Review of various types of parody including monologues, commercial parodies, slice-of-life comedy, character-driven comedy, physical comedy, comedy of absurd, and political and topical satire. Students write one comedy sketch and portfolio of monologue jokes. Offered in summer only.
