Designed for undergraduate ethnomusicology, music, music history, and world arts and cultures majors. Survey of musics from China’s border regions and neighboring countries: technical musical characteristics and important contextual issues related to traditional and modern styles from Mongolia, Uighurs of Xinjiang, Tibet, Tibeto-Burman peoples, Hmong, and indigenous peoples of Taiwan.
