Exploration of topics on musical cultures and styles in Iran focusing on specific sociopolitical contexts, sexuality and gender studies, politics and resistance, religion, mysticism and spirituality, and role of musical discourses and practices in Iran and in its multiple diasporas (particularly Los Angeles).
