Introduction to pedagogical approaches and methods used in geosciences community to educate demographically diverse populations, including K-12 through higher-education audiences and general public. Focus on development of motivational and public communication skill sets as practiced at outreach events and demonstrations, including communication of science in multicultural settings. Active participation required in minimum of three scheduled outreach events over course of term, providing perspective and basis for follow-up discussions on critical geosciences literacy at local, state, and national levels.
