Overview of epidemiology of obesity and diabetes. Students are exposed to most important research in this area. Focus includes global and regional epidemic of obesity and diabetes, risk factors and complications, classifications and assessments, prevention and management, as well as methodological issues related to study design and measurements for conducting obesity and diabetes research in large populations. Encourages students’ creative thinking and improves their skills for scientific writing and oral communications through individual and team assignments.
