Introduction to environmental public health microbiology. Focus on human-disease-causing organisms. Covers bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa or protists, prions, and algae. Consideration of infectious diseases and of toxins produced by these microbes. Addresses how infectious agents interact with human immune system. Overview of this wide variety of microbial topics.
