Foundations of Environmental Health

Introduction to foundational concepts, definitions, methods, and current topics in environmental health sciences. Examination of how individuals and communities are exposed to physical, biological, chemical, and psychosocial stressors in their ambient, built, social, and work environments; and how those stressors can result in poor health outcomes. Using a public health and environmental justice lens, students understand perspectives from multiple constituencies, as well as how various government agencies create and enforce environmental regulations and policies.
