Study of literatures of Atlantic to examine cultural, political, and ideological issues that followed from transatlantic movement of people, ideas, commodities, and cultural artifacts. In addition to literatures of Britain and U.S., coverage may include texts from Africa, Caribbean, Mexico, South America, Spain, and other parts of Europe. May be repeated for credit with topic or instructor change.
