Recommended: course 111A or 111B. Study of topics in Hebrew Bible and/or New Testament, with attention to particular literary themes, motifs, genres, and modes of interpretation. Discussion of influence of Bible on discrete periods or individual authors in literatures in English. May be repeated for credit with topic or instructor change.
