Research Practice
English Composition · 5 units · Undergraduate upper division (100-199)
(Formerly numbered M180.) Advanced workshop designed for juniors and seniors engaged in large-scale research projects in humanities or social sciences. Students hone research, critical reading, and writing skills through class sessions, digital research notebook, and writing workshops. Students practice giving, receiving, and incorporating feedback through peer review, and develop research projects in consultation with colleagues, instructor, and faculty and libraries. Culminates with completion of literature review, academic article, or thesis chapter.
