Biology of Marine Plants

Five-week intensive course. Lecture, five hours; laboratory, 15 hours. Introduction to general biology of marine algae, including basics of structure reproduction, life histories, systematics, and introduction to physiology and ecology of marine algae. Techniques in culture and laboratory investigation and utilization of algae. Given off campus at marine science center.
