Introduction to research methods in ecology and behavior, resulting in independent research proposals and to gain understanding of scientific method, critical evaluation of research papers, and development of scientific writing skills. Involves work outside and off-campus meetings. To apply this course to the Biology upper-division major laboratory requirement, the corresponding lecture course must be completed with a passing grade.
