Instructional Strategies in Urban Education: Visual and Performing Arts

Emphasis on instructional practices that integrate visual and performing arts into urban classrooms. Debriefing of field experiences implementing subject-centered arts instruction, instruction connecting arts disciplines, and instruction connecting arts and other core disciplines. Advanced exploration of elements of each art form, as well as content and emotional scaffolding strategies and reflection strategies to make learning accessible, engaging, and relevant.
