Secondary Content and Literacy Methods

Examination and development of instructional programs and analyses and practices of instructional methods for teaching content in grades 7-12. Emphasis on interdisciplinary approach that integrates content areas and infuses literacy, technology, and strategies for second language learners. Methods courses are aligned with California state frameworks and California content standards for grades K-12, including English Language Development Standards—all of which address needs and various interests of diverse students.
