Movement in Art, Philosophy, and Daily Life

(Same as Middle Eastern Studies M179SL.) Exploration of relation between humans and world. Only relevant output of brain, irrespective of what may or may not go on inside it, is control over movements. In living animals, sentience or consciousness exists to integrate often complex input and decide on course of action. Similarly, ownership and agency are inseparably associated with biological systems that control our movements. Movements play vital part in constructing psychosocial environment that permeates and surrounds us. Exploration of how humans and animals move, and how movement, as well as limitations of mobility, relate to personal and community identity.
